As I've been wondering about Rickshaw Rally and its repercussions in my area, I remembered the talk I heard from Soong-Chan Rah at Wheaton earlier this year. I really liked the core values of his church, Cambridge Community Fellowship Church in Boston. They are: Scripture, Worship & Prayer, Community, Racial Reconciliation, Witness, Social Justice & Urban Ministry, World Missions. How awesome is that! I wish that (at least considering the churches with which I have had contact) more U.S. churches would focus on racial, multicultural, and social justice issues, instead of disregarding them as liberal hogwash. Justice and oppression are major themes throughout God's Word, and he desires that his people focus on such things as well.
Since I've been back in Oklahoma, I haven't been thinking much lately. What's the deal? My intellectual juices just haven't been flowing!
