...about reading the Twilight series and watching the movie over and over. The final scene of the movie includes an Iron and Wine song! They are one of my favorites.
Twilight and the telenovas my husband and I watch are the two things of which I don't allow myself to perform a feminist critique. One of these days I'm sure I can enjoy a good story without getting miffed about how women are portrayed...
What telenovas do you watch? I'm trying to pick up more Spanish, and watching Spanish TV has been one of the more helpful resources.

We watch Manana Es Para Siempre, Las Tontas No Van Al Cielo, and sometimes Cuidado Con El Angel, Mujeres Asesinas (not a telenovela), and Lety la Fea (That last one may not be the correct name - it's the Spanish-language version of Ugly Betty). We try to catch La Familia Peluche whenever it's on, although I'm not sure if it's on anymore. La Familia Peluche isn't a telenova but it's pretty funny.
