Via tumblinfeminist, I came across some great tips for preventing sexual assault. It wasn't until college, in a self-defense class, that I first learned that how a woman dresses doesn't have anything to do with sexual assault. Growing up, I would often hear warnings that "dressing slutty" is "just asking for it," and somehow justifies rape. So I had to share these tips, which put this absurd situation back into the proper perspective:
